Supervisor, Warehouse in Albany, NY AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.  The Supervisor, Warehouse is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by being responsible for all warehouse, dispensing, distribution, receiving and transportation functions for the site. • Responsible for the accuracy and control of raw materials, intermediates and finished stock inventories. Assists in scheduling periodic stock evaluation. Manages non-GMP and GMP receiving processes. 
• Supervises all areas/functions utilized for receiving including transportation across a public road and supervision of warehouse staff. 
• Conducts tours and host warehouse audits for customers, regulatory, and internal teams. Ensures that the Warehouse is always ready for such visits by managing a safe, clean and organized work area inside the Warehouse building.
• Manages dispensing priorities for bulk material shipments according to customer needs. Manages the weighing and dispensing operations from the warehouse, assuring the accuracy of records/documentation.
• Manages distribution requests from Oracle EBS and coordinates with stock control manager to distribute materials to and from the production areas in order to meet production schedules. 
• In conjunction with cross-functional departments (QA, Manufacturing, QC, etc.) determine disposition of Returned Goods. 
• Recommends and implements methods to increase the quality and reduce the cost of all services within the department.
• Responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of the labeling system. 
• Maintains the hand-held bar code transmitters for identification and locating purposes. 
• Responsible for notifying EH&S upon receipt of controlled substance. 
• Maintains packing slips, oracle EBS receipts, and all receiving paperwork; Filing/archiving the paperwork as required. 
• Manages logistics of coordinating the transportation of materials across a public road; Maintaining bill of lading and transportation paperwork. 
• Responsible for triaging end user issues with purchasing, dispatch and logistic companies. 
• Manages delivery appointments for large item deliveries for all receiving docks in conjunction with end users, requisition coordinator, purchasing, and logistic companies. Coordinates with cross-functional groups to move large deliveries off the receiving dock in a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business or as requested by supervisor or management.
• Maintains excellent documentation skills, safety practices and thorough knowledge of cGMPs.
• Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices. Leads by example. 
• Reviews, issues and ensures compliance with SOPs, safety and departmental procedures.
• The ability to cross-train in other positions for fill-in and support based on business needs.
• Participates in self-development activities and the training on others. Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:  Required
• Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent; plus comprehensive knowledge of production and inventory control procedures, distribution, packaging and internal transportation needs.
• Five years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Must possess technical aptitude and a willingness to work with chemicals.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to coordinate a number of diverse responsibilities. Preferred
• Experience with Oracle EBS is preferred.
• Certified in Powered Industrial Fork Truck operation according to 29 CFR 1910.178 is a plus. All interested applicants must apply online.
