Pilot Plant Technician in Springfield, MO AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The Pilot Plant Technician is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by ensuring our products are produced safely and in accordance with all regulatory requirements. • Set up and operate equipment to prescribed instructions to perform various unit operations such as reactions, filtrations, distillations, drying, milling, etc on raw materials and various stages of chemical processing.
• Follow and document per batch sheet instructions to produce products according to all current Good Manufacturing Procedure guidelines as required.
• Support all facets of the Pilot Plant to include assisting the Shift Supervisors with special project needs, production support activities, SAP entries, etc.
• Support the Chemical Research and Development group for kilo lab operations as needed. 
• Operate with good housekeeping practices and maintain the Pilot Plant in accordance with cGMP regulations (cleaning validation, equipment logs, etc.)

Qualifications
• External Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:
Required
• High school diploma/GED
• Shift work required which will include weekends and/or holidays
• Ability to work 12 hour shift assignments, day and night shift
• Must be able to work overtime
• Ability to wear a respirator Preferred

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry with previous experience in Pilot Plant or chemical operations or combination of education and experience
• Mechanical aptitude/experience helpful
• Strong math skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Team player and able to work with changing priorities with excellent time management skills
