OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR in West Lafayette, IN
AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The Office Administrator is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks, assisting with data entry into Sales Force and LIMS, assisting project leaders with certain administrative activities, greeting visitors and answering incoming phone calls, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, coordinating events, assisting with requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties.

In this role, you will:

• Enter information into Sales Force and LIMS, and regularly update entries as necessary.
• Assist project leaders with conflict checks, requesting and tracking agreements, coordination of documentation, and sample receipt.
• Assist project administration and finance groups with support of their activities.
• Greet visitors to the company and ensure that they read and understand safety and privacy policies for the site.
• Answer telephones, take accurate message and forward to appropriate staff.
• Receive, sort and forward incoming mail. Maintain and route publications.
• Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
• Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office and break room supplies.
• Coordinate with AMRI IT or vendors to maintain and/or repair office equipment.
• Organize and maintain conference rooms.
• Coordinate site events and various external activities (e.g., AMRI Short Course).
• Assist with arranging travel/lodging for staff and preparing expense reports as needed.
• Recommend and implement methods to improve the quality of products and/or services.

Qualifications

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role: 
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent knowledge of various clerical functions preferred.
• Ability to interface well with all departments of the company and to represent AMRI in a highly professional manner.
• Capable of performing multiple tasks routinely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and dedication to execute on timelines.
