SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The Sr. Manager, Global Inventory Management will work closely with the Director S&OP and Inventory Management to further enhance and set strategy and vision for Inventory transformation, developing a comprehensive global strategic plan which will drive optimal inventory balances, identify potential supply chain issues, balancing demand and supply across multiple regions in accordance with overall global guidelines and targets. 

This role will manage all aspects of strategic, long range inventory decision making and will work cross-functionally with supply, demand, sales and finance teams to optimize and manage the financial performance of global inventory for AMRI.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•         Serve as main point of contact regarding all Inventory Management matters

•         Lead Inventory Management processes through collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Operations

•         Ensure organizational alignment between all functions related to Inventory

•         Engage with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Business Unit leaders to evaluate inventory trends and define action steps

•         Engage with planners to confirm feasibility of optimal demand supply balance and to identify gaps

•         Develop new and/or improved tools to ensure timely measurement, reporting, and visibility to Inventory status, with a forward looking consumption projection, to all cross functional stakeholders

•         Ensure alignment to demand and supply planning process

•         Prepare reports and presentations to communicate into S&OP related activities

•         Support inventory strategies toward inventory optimization through effective S&OP execution

•         Develop execute and track strategic inventory reduction initiatives.

•         In collaboration with finance, track inventory trends, support audits and ad hoc inventory analysis.  Provide regular updates on the impact of this analysis on the financial objectives of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

 

•         Degree in business, or related field. Certification in Inventory Management, Supply Chain Planning preferred.

•         Solid working knowledge of ERP and statistical methods applications. Oracle and/or SAP background a plus.

•         Demonstrated change management experience. System implementations experience a plus.

•         Must possess the ability to make independent judgments.

•         Strong Analytical and statistical skills.

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•         Must have demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage processes through to completion.
