Senior Information Security Lead

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The Senior Information Security Lead is a highly motivated and technically adept Information Security professional independently responsible for establishing, leading, and managing cyber security strategies and operations related to security monitoring for internal and external threats and incident response. The leader is responsible for the strategic planning, design, development and implementation of the organizations network infrastructure and security.

Responsibilities

•         Lead, design, implement and monitor AMRI’s global cyber risk management program

•         Demonstrate thought-leadership, with strong leadership and management skills in the integration of security technologies

•         Strong communication skills to the executive leadership, customers, and partners

•         Develop and enhance an information security management framework to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (i.e. GDPR, etc.)

•         Research the broader ecosystem to understand the security landscape and industry trends

•         Work with each of the business units and sites to facilitate risk assessments and risk management processes

•         Partner with business users within the organization to raise awareness of risk management

•         Ensure consistent application of policies and standards related to technology projects, systems and services

•         Performs risk assessments based on the defined cyber risk framework

•         Lead internal and external security audits

•         Communicate and ensure IT and information security risks are managed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and standards

•         Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess risk posture and concerns

•         Serve as subject matter expert to internal business and technology teams on range of risk management activities and industry best practices

Participate in key initiatives as the subject matter expert to ensure alignment with IT and Information Security programs and initiatives

Job Requirements

Required

 

•         8 years’ experience leading information security initiatives in a global environment

•         Hands-on experience in a global high-technology security role, preferably a combination of risk management, compliance, information security and security operations

•         Strong relationship building and influencing skills balanced with vision and the ability to innovate

•         Strong verbal and written communication skills and public-speaking abilities 

•         Expertise in technical and business environments - familiarity with national security standards, experience with business continuity, disaster recovery, auditing, risk management, vulnerability assessments, forensic investigations and incident response

•         Demonstrated experience in configuring and securing firewalls, routers, proxies, load balancers, and various enterprise operating systems

•         A strong background in Platform Security, Cloud Computing Security, Data Security, Network Security, Security Assessment, Security Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Computer Security Incident Response, and Security Compliance Audits

•         Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining log management and SIEM technologies like FireEye, Splunk, etc.

•         Working knowledge of information security technologies, markets, and vendors including firewall, intrusion detection, assessment tools, encryption, certificate authority, web, and application development

•         Working knowledge of multi-vendor IP networks including architecture and security methodologies 

•         Knowledge of risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, authentication technologies, and security attack pathologies

•         Current security certification CISSP or CISM or equivalents. ITIL certification is a plus

•         Experience in pharmaceuticals, life science or related industries (GxP experience) is required

•         Managing IT or Information Security risk management programs

•         Proven experience with IT and Information Security best practices

•         Technical abilities across a broad range of technologies: Windows, Linux, relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, etc.), firewalls, routers, mobile devices, virtualization and cloud computing

•         Working with information security risk, governance, and control frameworks such as, NIST, ISO 27000 series etc.

•         Project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple, concurrent projects
