The ResearchScientist III – Microspectroscopy is an integral part of the AMRIteam, contributing to our success by providing expertise in the identificationand characterization of small, micrometer size particles and unknown foreignmaterials.

In this role,you will:


•     Perform, analyzes and interpret data from experimentsindependently utilizing polarized light microscopy, stereomicroscopy, infraredmicrospectroscopy, SEM/EDX, and Raman microspectroscopy

• Provide project oversight, client interactions if required,and scientific input

• Develop and utilize characterization techniques to supportdrug substance and drug product development

• Comply with all cGMP and safety requirements, laboratory SOPsand company policies and procedures

• Participate and oversee troubleshooting of analytical testmethods and laboratory instruments

• Perform data analysis and interpretation, prepare and reviewwell-written scientific reports

• Develop and write analytical methods and operating proceduresaccording to specific sample or testing requirements



Qualifications

Qualificationsand background to be successful in this role:


Required:


• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science field

• Knowledgebase in microscopy (that may include light, hot-stage, Raman, FT-IR, orSEM/EDS) or microspectroscopy

• 1-5 years of related laboratory work experience

• Criticalthinking and problem solving abilities

• Experiencewith advanced analytical techniques, design and troubleshooting experiments andinterpretation of data

• Excellentcommunication skills, as is a high level of independence and the ability tohandle multiple projects.


Preferred:

• Experiencewith Microsoft Office

• Knowledgeof current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

• Certificationin Applied Chemical Microscopy
