Job Description

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The QC Chemist is responsible for performing routine and non-routine analytical chemistry assays of raw materials, in-process samples, finished formulations, stability samples and for special projects, method development/transfers and cleaning study qualifications.

In this role, you will:

  • Performance of analytical testing for incoming, in-process and final products, and stability samples.
  • Performance of raw material monograph testing, as needed.
  • Performance of QC analytical chemistry assays, HPLC, GC, IR, UV, etc.
  • Performance of wet chemistry assays.
  • Back up for QC analytical instrument maintenance, calibration, and validation.


Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline required
  • 2 years’ working experience in HPLC industry and experience in a GMP or GLP environment
  • Knowledgeable in FDA GMPs (21 CFR, 211, 820, and/or 600); ISO 9001 and 13485

Preferred 

  • Proficient use of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in HPLC method development and method validation with extensive experience with multiple other analytical techniques and analytical equipment.
