QC Lab Technician in Rensselaer, NY

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The QC Lab Technician is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by testing raw materials, intermediates, finished goods and bulk pharmaceuticals. The QC Lab Tech is expected to provide significant contributions to the problems assigned, and to demonstrate an ability to solve problems.  The scientist is self-motivated and continually demonstrates initiative in handling responsibilities, and strives to do the job better.

In this role, you will:
  • Performs cGMP analysis of samples utilizing analytical instrumentation and methodology.


  • Follow written methodology to make solvents and reagents used in the laboratory. 

  • Must be able to understand the scientific and chemical terms and definitions used in the lab and in the methods. 

  • Conduct standardizations of the solutions and calibrations of the instruments. 

  • Performs analysis of reference standards, stability samples and authentic samples.

  • Communicate analytical testing results clearly and accurately.

Job Requirements



Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:



Required
  • Associates Degree with major in Natural Science or Pharmacy or equivalent 
  • Good knowledge of analytical chemistry including wet chemistry and instrumental methods of analysis.
  • Strong computer and math skills.
  • Other pertinent training/courses
