Material Sampling Technician

About the Position

TheMaterial Sampling Technician will be responsible for the receipt, inspection,and sampling of incoming materials and components.

Position Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned


  • Inspect and sample incoming material toverify identity, quantity and quality of all raw materials and components to beused in the making of a drug product

  • Ability to perform raw materialsampling using proper and other techniques

  • Communicating with internallaboratories and third party laboratory’s to adhere to testing schedule

  • Collaboratingwith QA Operations department on timelines for material review

  • Followall SOP’s as well as make changes to procedures as needed

  • Createlabels for raw materials

  • Perform chemical /component samplingand obtaining measurements asnecessary (requiring use of hand measurement instruments)

  • Completion of incoming paperwork and labeling following GDP at all times

  • Releasing materials from Quarantine to the Warehouse

  • Maintaining sampling supply inventory

  • Maintaining cleaning and up keep of all sampling equipment andsampling room

  • File and archive paperwork.

Qualifications

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

Required

• 1-3 years’ experience in a Quality Control Laboratory.

• BS degree with a Chemistry or natural science major

• Ability to perform complex calculations on a regular basis and comfortable communicating complex data to others.

• Ability to efficiently base decisions on numerical data and communicate this data in easily understood formats.

• Ability to maintain effective time management skills when making decisions.

• Ability to be medically cleared to use a respirator by a physician
