Manager, Container Closure Integrity Testing in Lebanon, NJ

The Manager of Container Closure Integrity Testing is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by overseeing our laboratory and staff of the department, supporting business development activities and overseeing CCI projects to ensure projects are performed with the highest quality and meeting customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage department in order to meet or exceed revenue and earnings goals
  • Answer customer inquiries, consult with clients on testing needs and solutions specific to CCIT, perform quoting activities. 
  • Support necessary Business Development/Marketing activities by participating on client calls, client visits, trade shows, etc.  Generate necessary white papers, blogs, webinars, short courses and maintain website pages.
  • Manage the planning and organization of CCIT programs and finalization of program deliverables ensuring projects are performed with the highest quality and as efficient and safe as possible while meeting customer expectations.
  • Manage and assign testing assignments to analytical staff members to ensure the multiple projects are performed efficiently and meeting or exceeding the agreed upon due dates.
  • Manage and/or perform necessary deviation/OOT/investigation and identify appropriate CAPAs ensuring due dates are meet. 
  • Ensure equipment/instruments PM and calibrations are current and performed on-time
  • Initiate necessary Change Controls and maintain current and up-to-date SOPs
  • Perform necessary client follow-up ensuring positive customer interaction and customer service.
  • Maintain administrative tracking systems for CCIT projects. Track standards vs actuals to ensure margins are met or exceeded. 
  • Maintain laboratory records related to all testing activities assuring that they are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform bench testing assignments when necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned   


Job Requirements

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering or a degree in a science related field and a minimum of 4 years relevant laboratory experience in the container closure integrity testing environment.    

Strongly Desired:

  •  Prior work experience in a contract testing laboratory setting is most ideal. Good written, math and verbal skills; highly organized and decision-making ability focused around details.
