In this role, you will:                                                                                                                          



                    

•    Select methods and establish predictive and proactive techniques and programs to ensure cost effective use, maximum availability and the greatest possible standardization of equipment.

•    Assist in the administration of the Plant maintenance program and perform Plant maintenance as needed. Provide technical expertise for all process equipment and support systems including bulk storage tanks and distribution piping, pumps, valves, compressors, scrubbers, vacuum pumps and temperature control modules (TCM).

•    Interface with internal departments such as Engineering and Production to provide technical expertise as needed to solve problems, support audits and review new projects regarding long term maintenance needs.

•    Plan and schedule maintenance and develop timelines to meet the needs and requirements of production.

•    Forecast spare parts and ensure that accurate, up-to-date spare parts lists are available for existing equipment while specifying standardization of components used in repairs. Ensure spare parts lists provided for all new installations and components identified are consistent with established standards. Establish proper stores and stocking levels for spare parts.

•    Communicate clear and accurate details of equipment failures and viable options for repair to management in a timely manner.

•    Apply project management principles to forecast and assess equipment replacement needs, recommend necessary replacements and schedule replacement programs as necessary. Maintain replacement plan.

Required

 

•       Knowledge of the fundamentals of the operation of process equipment and support systems including bulk storage tanks and distribution piping, pumps, valves, compressors, scrubbers, vacuum pumps and temperature control modules (TCM), as well as experience with mathematics and reading blueprints.

•       3-4 years prior experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment

•       Excellent interpersonal, influencing, leadership and verbal and written communication skills.

•       Must be available during non-working-hours to respond to maintenance emergencies, provide guidance and expertise, and pursue appropriate course of action to resolve the issue.

•       Must be able to effectively communicate expectations to co-workers. This will require drafting SOP’s and general work instructions as well as communicating priorities for tasks and projects. Additionally, this will require verbal interactions with co-workers on a daily basis.

•       Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

•       Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Preferred

 

•       Prefer an Associate’s degree in Chemistry or related field with 3 or more years of experience in the chemical manufacturing field. Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility subject to cGMP and FDA regulations is preferred.

•       Experience utilizing maintenance software is preferred.
