LOGISTICS COORDINATOR I in Albany, NY


 AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The Analytical Department is responsible for support of the manufacturing department and external customers.  The routine functions of the laboratory are testing of raw materials, in-process, end product, and stability samples.

The Logistics Coordinator I is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by performing as the primary point of contact between scientists, internal customers and third party vendors.

In this role, you will:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 


•       Manage sample management workflow with associated logbook documentation.

•       Prioritize group tasks among peers.

•       Receive and coordinate external and internal samples

•       Check expiration dates and storage conditions of samples.  As needed, safely discard using established procedures.

•       Support onsite cGMP manufacturing.

o   Provide status updates to production teams as appropriate

o   Sample Raw Materials, Intermediates, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

o   Aliquot, prepare paperwork and liaise with the Shipping department to ensure various samples are shipped expeditiously.

o   Liaise with QA department for Raw Material release

o   Coordinate 3rd Party Laboratory Testing and approve invoices.

•       Regularly review laboratory logbooks and replace and archive as necessary.

•       Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or services.

•       Update SOPs pertaining to major duties and typical workflow


Job Requirements



Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

•       Bachelor's degree with major in Chemistry or Pharmacy, or Associate's degree with a       minimum of three years of relevant industry experience..

•       Minimum of one year of relevant experience.

•       Chemical Hygiene training

•       Other pertinent training/courses
