Exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist, Human Resources located in Rensselaer, NY
Albany Molecular Research Inc. provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for partnering with the HR Manager to support activities related to employee relations, recruitment, benefits and leave management, employee engagement, onboarding, off boarding, performance and HRIS management and other employee-oriented practices and programs.
 
In this role, you will:-Support recruitment including collaborating with hiring managers to assess needs, drafting job descriptions, entering jobs
in applicant tracking system, coordinating interviews, identifying suitable
candidates, interviewing and preparing offers. May include attendance at trade
shows, university recruiting and managing relationships with third party
vendors.
  -Facilitate the internal hiring process, including the union bidding process as outlined in the CBA.
     -Develop and maintain working relationships with hiring managers by communicating status regularly to hiring manager throughout the recruiting process and ensure that each search is on target.
       -Lead onboarding process. Prepare new hire materials and welcome schedules, oversee onboarding system tasks, participate in new hire orientation.
 
-Assist with off boarding process- conduct exit interviews, update internal systems, and ensure that all other off boarding tasks are completed.  Prepare reports for management including open recruitment reports, headcount and attrition.  Maintain current site organizational charts.
      -Establish relationships and provide support to employees at all levels within the site.
     -Assist with managing, tracking and reviewing performance evaluations. Supports managers during the process where needed.
    -Maintain HRIS systems as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. -Collaborate with Corporate HR, site HR Manager, site management and employees to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
  -Gain thorough understanding and accurate interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement.
 
-In collaboration with the HR Manager, support employee engagement activities, site celebrations, activities and recognition programs.
  -Assist with Employee and Labor relations including but not limited to disciplinary meetings, terminations, responding to grievances and participating in the arbitration process.
     -Prepare and deliver training as assigned.
      -Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices.
   -Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business or outlined by the HR Leadership team.

Job Requirements



Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

 Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 3 years’ experience in Human Resources preferred with at least 1 year in a manufacturing setting
  • Must be comfortable shifting focus rapidly and want to thrive in a fast paced work environment
  • Must have a high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written
