Building Manager for Developmental Manufacturing 

 in Rensselaer, NY

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The building manager is responsible for the manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals and for maintaining the manufacturing equipment and facilities according to prescribed cGMP and SOP's.  The building manager supervises the shift supervisors in the building.

In this role, you will:

 1.         Responsible for the manufacture of all Pharmaceuticals described in the Production Schedule.

2.         Responsible for developing work schedules for chemical operators in order to meet production requirements.

3.         Responsible for supervising chemical operators in the performance of their assigned job responsibilities.

4.         Responsible for insuring that adequate supplies of raw materials, intermediates and factory supplies are available within the manufacturing area to meet production requirements.  Responsible for the orderly storage and flow of materials within the manufacturing area.

5.         Responsible for insuring that the manufacturing area and production equipment is adequately maintained.

6.         Responsible for insuring that Bulk Chemicals/Pharmaceuticals are produced in accordance with cGMP regulations, SOPs, and approved manufacturing monographs.




Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

 

Education and/or Experience

•         Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

•         Previous manufacturing experience or a minimum of 2-3 years of pharmaceutical operations experience.

•         Knowledge of basic chemical and physical principles, understands and applies basic mathematical concepts, and directs the activities of others to achieve manufacturing goals. 

•         Knowledge of SOP manufacturing and all governmental regulations pertaining to plant operation is essential. 

•         Good communication skills.

•         A proactive leader who has the ability to provide vision and motivation to a team so they work together toward the same goal, and then understand the talents and temperaments of each individual and effectively motivating each person to contribute individually their best toward achieving the group goal

•         Proactive thinker that can analyze organizational issues, suggest changes and implement a project plan.

•         Ability to influence and persuade through the senior management level.

•         Articulate communicator and ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data to a wide range of audiences.

•         High standard of attention to detail.

•         Solid commitment to customer or employee service.

•         Ability to analyze issues/situations and develop action or work-around plan
