Assistant Director (DNA Encoded Libraries) in Buffalo, NY

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The Assistant Director will be an integral part of the AMRI discovery team, contributing to the establishment and execution of our DNA encoded library (DEL) platform. This individual will contribute to AMRI’s overall DEL strategy and advance this technology to its full potential.

In this role, you will:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 



                             

  • Develop and implement AMRI’s DNA Encoded Library (DEL) Platform
  • Assist in the recruitment of DEL chemists/informatics scientists
  • Supervise a team of chemists and informatics scientists in the production of DNA encoded libraries
  • Contribute to the design and production DNA encoded libraries
  • Effectively communicate with the project team, management  and clients

Job Requirements

Required:
 
  • Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or equivalent experience
  • At least ten to fifteen years of research experience
  • At least five years of experience in the DNA encoded library field
  • Experience in leading  multi-disciplinary teams
 
Preferred:
 
  • Experience with chemo-informatics and computational tools in drug discovery
  • Track record of independently managing the execution of a complex project
  • Track record in managing complex workflows and excellent organization skills
