Senior Research Scientist I- Cell Based Assay Technology in Buffalo, NY

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The Senior Research Scientist I- Cell Based Assay Technology is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by applying a strong scientific background in cell biology, pharmacology or a related discipline towards assay development and screening for client-based projects and internal development projects in oncology, immunotherapies and neurodegenerative diseases.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop cell based assays to test novel therapeutics
  • Take advantage of high throughput, high content imaging platforms
  • Work in a project-driven, matrixed organization
  • Compose research plans, execute experiments, and deliver project results to clients
  • Manage multiple projects and train and supervise junior researchers

Job Requirements

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

Required:
  • A P.h.D. in Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Neuroscience or related field and multiple years of postdoctoral experience.
  • Experience in successfully managing complex biology projects.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in managing resources and personnel.
  • High Content Imaging and Analysis experience.
  • Genome editing with CRISPR/Cas9.
  • Experience in immunology and immune-oncology.
