PROJECT MANAGER in Glasgow

 

Albany Molecular Research Inc. provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Project Management team here in Glasgow on an initial 12-month fixed term maternity cover basis.     If you are an experienced Project Manager with experience of delivering multi-service projects in a fast paced Scientific or GMP environment then we would love to hear from you.  

Our Project Management team are responsible for the management of multiple cross functional projects, driven according to timelines and revenue milestones to support client and business needs, and as an experienced Project Manager you will be a key part of the team’s success and future growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multi-service projects across multiple business lines

  • Ensure Contract Relationship Management (CRM) and ERP systems are current for all projects and change orders    

  • Coaching of peers within the PM team in addition to other groups as appropriate, to enhance company effectiveness and to promote the achievement of high standards within the organisation

  • Ensure timely escalation of potential issues to Line Manager/Leadership Team as appropriate

  • Ensures a consistent approach across all departments, supporting operations, project management and sales to offer a high quality customer service by using approved processes and templates

  • Facilitates client project meetings throughout the overall project lifecycle, ensures communication lines are clearly defined, issues a communication plan and contact matrix 

  • Manage the change order process according to standard templates and processes including pricing

  • Support risk assessment analysis of project deliverables

  • Conducts full or phased project review to ensure project deliverables are met and all financial aspects completed 

  • Identifies any lessons learned

  • Work with department leads to ensure optimal capacity and project planning, proposing and implementing simplification of systems-based project management processes if appropriate

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, within a life sciences subject

  • Previous industry related Project Management experience

  • Previous scientific or GMP manufacturing background 

  • Demonstrated proactive and organised approach, able to exert influence over those whom they do not have direct authority and proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

  • Customer related experience and client facing skills

  • Ability to communicate and work with personnel of all levels

  • Good knowledge of contract development / research, pharmaceutical and biotech industries 

  • Understanding of processes, technical issues, requirements of all the individual business and service lines

  • Good networking ability

  • Sound judgement and decision making skills

  • Proven flexibility in adjusting to a rapidly evolving workload
