Associate Scientist (Small Scale Manufacturing) in Albany, New York

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The Associate Scientist (Small Scale Manufacturing) is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by being part of a multi-disciplinary team, committed to the safe manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for use in human clinical trials.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the manufacture of batches of API, under cGMP protocols, for use in human clinical trials.
  • Conduct and document equipment qualification and/or calibration as required.
  • Be responsible for production suite cleaning and maintenance
  • Be responsible for reactor assembly, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Mentor production technicians/laboratory aides.
  • Write interim and final production reports as required.


Job Requirements

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

Required:

  • AS. Degree in Chemistry (or a related discipline) or relevant industrial experience.

Preferred:

  • BS. Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience working in a GMP regulated environment.
  • Prior experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Mechanical aptitude
